Have you ever considered that trees thrive even in a drought? Their intricate root systems allow them to pull water from deep beneath the earth. Did you realize there are underground water systems, and God created tree roots to search underground for these water sources? Tree roots grow and expand, pushing through the earth to get to these water sources, which is why they sometimes interrupt our plumbing. We know God is our source for everything we need. He has uniquely designed us to grow towards what we need to survive in a drought. You do not have to be concerned with what is on the surface. If we keep our trust in God, He will bless us. God has created streams for everything we need. God is the source, so any stream that dries up does not concern you because your roots can search underground and are connected to the source. He will make us strong. He has positioned us, and we will live a blessed life.
Jeremiah 17:7-8 NCV:
"But the person who trusts in the Lord will be blessed. The Lord will show him that he can be trusted. He will be strong, like a tree planted near water that sends its roots by a stream. It is not afraid when the days are hot; its leaves are always green. It does not worry in a year when no rain comes; it always produces fruit."
