This week, I closed our “Retraining Our Brains” series with a teaching that brings it all home—Our Identity Is Secure.
We’ve talked about setting foundations through the Word, understanding the Holy Spirit’s work, and renewing our minds daily. Now we see how those truths unite: the Spirit renews, we respond, and transformation becomes our lifestyle.
Philippians reminds us to have the mind of Christ. Romans shows that a mind governed by the Spirit brings life and peace. Colossians and Ephesians call us to put off and put on—daily choosing thoughts, habits, and attitudes that reflect Heaven.
Discipleship isn’t about striving; it’s about reinforcing what we’ve received.

✨ Practical Application
Pause daily for renewal. Before your day begins, invite the Holy Spirit to govern your mind. Ask, “What do You want to teach me today?”
Practice replacement. Each time you notice a worldly thought, replace it with a truth from Scripture. (Example: “I’m not enough” → “I am complete in Christ.”)
Reinforce through repetition. Choose one virtue from 2 Peter 1—faith, goodness, knowledge, self-control, perseverance, godliness, affection, or love—and practice it intentionally this week. Ask the Holy Spirit to make that virtue alive in you.
Reflect in humility. End your day by asking, “Where did I reflect the mind of Christ today? Where do I need more renewal tomorrow?”
Yield to the Holy Spirit. Listen for the still voice as He guides you and follow Him.
Remember your security. Your growth doesn’t change God’s love for you—it flows from it.
What you practice repeatedly becomes natural.
What becomes natural establishes your behavior.
Your behavior shapes your character.
When your identity is rooted in Christ, your renewal becomes your rhythm.
✨ Transformity: Because what’s in you is greater than what’s around you.
